TallyTrashTerms of use
By using TallyTrash you agree to these terms. They are between you (or the business you sign up for) and TallyTrash.
The service
TallyTrash lets a food business log the food it throws away, see what it cost, and share that with its staff. It works offline and syncs when you have signal.
Accounts and teams
- The person who sets up a business is its owner. The owner can invite staff with a join code or link, and remove them at any time.
- Staff can see and add to the business’s items and logs. Only the owner sees the By person report.
- Keep your sign-in email secure. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
Subscriptions and prices
- Monthly: £14.99 a month.
- Yearly: £164.99 a year.
- Founding member (first 100 members, yearly only): £109.89 for the first year (£9.99 a month, one month free), then £143.88 a year.
Prices include VAT. Payment is taken by Apple or Google, and their terms apply to billing and refunds.
- Free trial: one month, once per business. We remind you 3 days before it ends.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
- Cancelling: cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play settings. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Price changes: we’ll tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies, and you can cancel before it does.
Smart scan
Smart scan suggests an item and amount from a photo. Suggestions can be wrong, so always check them before you log. You’re responsible for what you save.
Fair use
Don’t use TallyTrash to break the law, upload anything harmful, try to get into other businesses’ data, or overload the service.

The Tips page gives general guidance drawn from UK public sources. It isn’t legal advice; check what applies to you with your council or waste collector.
Our responsibility
We work to keep TallyTrash running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted. We aren’t liable for indirect losses such as lost profit. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete my account and data. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why.
